The interview process went well. I had a phone call with a company recruiter first. Then there were two video interviews, one with the hiring manager and the other with two employees. Everyone was kind, energetic, easy to talk with, and made me feel very comfortable.

I had a 30 minute phone screen and it went well. The person I spoke with said there were a couple roles he thought I would be a good fit for and that he would follow up with me. A few days passed and I didn't hear anything so I sent him an email. No response. I sent another one a few days later. No response. I found this very unprofessional and a waste of company time. Not to mention the reputation hit Cengage took.

The process was pretty quick, about three weeks from when I applied to when I got the offer. The recruiter and hiring manager laid out the steps clearly. They used a written assessment in my field (project management) to gauge my knowledge and how I'd handle common situations, which was a neat approach. I had a screening call with HR, then an interview with the hiring manager, followed by an interview with the Director, and finally a chat with two current project managers. Since the job is remote, all interviews were conducted online via video call or phone.
