I had a first phone call with a recruiter, followed by two more rounds with managers and my potential peers. About a week after the last interviews, the recruiter contacted me expressing strong interest and asked me to wait while they considered other candidates. Another week passed, and I sent a follow-up reiterating my interest. I got a response saying they'd be in touch soon, but then nothing – I was completely ghosted. It was pretty demoralizing to be strung along like that, especially by a midsized company, and then get radio silence after being told I'd hear back.

It was a three stage interview process. First a phone call with HR, then a video interview where I met all the marketing leadership. I had the opportunity to ask a lot of questions and get to know my future team. It was a great chance to learn about past company strategy and connect with everyone on the team.

I had a quick chat with the recruiter, then a virtual meeting with the hiring manager. Both seemed to go well. I got an email saying I just need to wait a bit longer because they had a few more people to talk to. A couple weeks later, I got a LinkedIn message saying they were seeking candidates whose qualifications were a closer match to what the organization currently needs.

Since this is a national organization, the interview process is a bit more extended. It's not limited to a single location or team, and the role involves collaboration with other departments. Because of this, they aim to be thorough in their evaluation.
