The whole interview process took about two months. After the first round, my application was put on hold. Then, a month later, HR contacted me for another interview round. A few days after that, they told me they were moving forward with another candidate. When I asked for feedback, they said there was no negative feedback, but they just decided to go with someone else. I've never had such a bad experience where a company wasted my time like this. My advice to the hiring team: at least give candidates a reason for rejection. This isn't a game.

The interview process began with a recruiter phone call. This was followed by a Zoom meeting with three team members, then another Zoom meeting with a different team member, and finally another Zoom meeting with yet another team member. I decided not to continue after that, though they mentioned there were still 'a few more steps'. It felt excessively long and drawn out for what seemed like an entry-level position, almost like they were just keeping me on the line. Throughout the Zoom meetings, they were consistently late, which I initially excused due to potential COVID-related technical issues. They also appeared uninterested and lacked enthusiasm. The questions didn't seem to require multiple interviews; it felt more like a vibe check. In the last Zoom meeting, I was asked to meet someone from the team at 7:30 pm (same time zone, as she was very busy during the day - a red flag), but she never showed up. While it wasn't a terrible experience, they seemed quite disorganized from the outside, with potential issues in bureaucracy and overlapping responsibilities.

I went through three interviews with three different people. The first interviewer seemed a bit off and focused on whether I was a job hopper, asking about my past job departures and current activities, which felt more like an interrogation. The second interviewer was good and actually helped convince me to proceed with a third interview. The third interviewer appeared disengaged and disinterested, asking basic questions like if I had networking or troubleshooting experience, despite my resume clearly showing my certifications and customer support background in those areas. It seemed like she was just reading from a script without reviewing my qualifications, which came across as lazy and unprofessional. I would advise looking elsewhere.

Applied online, and then got an email within 2 business days for a personality and cognitive test (finding patterns, analogies, etc.). After that, I had a phone interview with basic questions like why I applied to Cendyn, my interest in the role, and salary/availability. Then I had an in-person interview with HR and the department manager, which was pretty basic, covering my work history and focusing more on work style than accomplishments. The next morning, I had a third interview with my potential team members. I got to ask about the day-to-day and they asked me how I'd handle certain situations, which was nice because it seemed like they really cared about finding the right culture fit and valuing team input. Two days later, I got offered the job over the phone, with a quick rundown of benefits and start date info. It was a quick, straightforward process. They often asked for my feedback and I appreciated the opportunity to ask questions and get a clear picture of the position.
