First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CEMIG.
Systems Analyst
First I had a chat with HR, and then with the department manager. We did some capacity tests, including oral and written Portuguese tests for presenting meetings to the Board and Management. I also needed intermediate English to use some internal systems.
- Tell me about your experiences.
- What is your approach to planning?
- What are your salary expectations?
Jovem Aprendiz
First, there was a theoretical test with questions on Portuguese, math, and physics, no essay. Then came the medical exams, and finally the hiring, with a theoretical and practical course. It's a very good company with excellent pay.

Analyst
The interview process was pretty standard for me. It started with the recruiter explaining the job, then they asked me about my work experience, and finally, they wanted to know about my personal life.
- Since I mentioned I was married with a daughter, the recruiter asked who would pick her up from school.
- She also inquired about my husband's job.
- And she asked about his working hours.
Engineering Intern
The interview process was handled by an agency and included two main stages. The first stage involved a general knowledge test and an evaluation of my academic record from the last two years of college. The second stage was the actual interview. The issue with CEMIG is that they usually only advance pre-selected candidates.
- Standard interview questions were asked. Nothing technical.
