The interview process was great and super fast. First, I had a discovery call with the HR Partner, who was awesome the whole time. Then, I spoke with the hiring manager. After that, I was given a challenge to do and then present it to the team at the office. The final step was a chat with the VP. I felt like the challenge was the most critical part and the best way to show what I can do.

Presentation Behavioral

The interview process began standardly, with three rounds completed. Following these, I was asked to deliver a detailed presentation to the Global Head of Talent Acquisition. Despite being a demanding task for a short-term contract, I invested the effort. I was initially told feedback would arrive early the next week, as I had other offers. However, I had to chase them for feedback after the promised timeframe passed. After three stages, including a significant presentation, I felt it wasn't my place to follow up. I eventually messaged them about my disappointment with the process and lack of communication, especially since this team sets the tone for candidate experience at Celonis. Surprisingly, only after my message did I get a call the following Monday to discuss further, which I suspect wouldn't have happened otherwise. I was previously told the team was under-resourced, yet new urgent roles were advertised the same day. On the final call, the tone changed; they were suddenly unsure about the immediate need to hire and required more time. With 20+ years of experience, I can say nothing had genuinely changed; it was just spin. For a senior person to handle communication this way at a growing company like Celonis was surprising. I would have accepted not being the right fit, but the whole process felt outdated and unprofessional, like something from decades ago. If interviewing with Celonis, be cautious about what's said versus what's real.

The whole hiring process was quite lengthy. I went through 4 interviews, and after each one, I chatted with my HR/Talent Manager about how it went and what to expect next. It felt good that my HR/Talent Manager was so involved, checking in before and after every interview, which made me feel valued and like they really wanted me for the job. Still, 4 interviews is a lot to prep for when you're working full-time. Besides the interviews, I also had to complete a "Cognitive Ability Test" and a digital Reference Check. In total, the application process took nearly 2 months, which felt like a long time. They did offer me the job, but I had other offers too. If Celonis hadn't been my top choice, I might have backed out sooner because 4 interviews + HR chats + a test + reference checks were a lot to manage. But honestly, I really appreciated how the HR team looked after me, and that heavily influenced my decision to accept the job!
