First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cellular Plus Verizon Authorized Retailer.
Sales Representative
I stopped by to drop off my resume and had an interview right then and there. It was a pretty basic interview process. I got to ask the hiring manager some questions. It was a good experience overall. Everyone was professional and knew their stuff.
- Can you tell me about your best and worst qualities?
Corporate Recruiter
I was first reached out to by phone for an initial interview with the HR Director and the VP of Sales. We then communicated via email. The interviews felt very conversational and human, not robotic. They were open about the expectations and challenges of the role and asked me to brainstorm ways to bring new energy to the position. Following up with both interviews was done within 1.5 weeks, which I thought was professional and reasonable. Most importantly, I felt I could really show my true self and what I can bring to the table in these discussions.
- Considering the expectations and challenges we've discussed for this role, how would you approach revolutionizing the position?
Sales Consultant
Applied online and after about two weeks, I received a call for an initial screening where they asked some basic questions about myself and my experience, which was a bit challenging given my lack of it. Following that, I was invited for an in-person interview. About a week after the interview, I was offered the job. The process also includes a background check and reference calls, so it's important to let your references know they might be contacted.
- Can you explain the distinction between a sales professional and a retail clerk?
Sales Manager
It was okay, I couldn't complain much and liked it well enough. I wouldn't go back though. They don't trust their employees and don't make enough to never not be on call. Plus, employees were used to talking to territory managers, so it caused drama.
