Data Analyst
The recruitment process for this apprenticeship first involved a phone call with a recruiter to discuss my background, my motivations, and the company. Then, I had an interview with the team manager to go deeper into my skills, my interest in data, and to check if I was a good fit for the role.
- Tell me about your background?
DevOps Engineer
The interview process had 3 levels. First was a phone screening which was a simple HR screening. Second was an HR + Technical interview which lasted about 1 hour for both parts. Finally, there was a management interview that didn't have deep technical questions, it was more of a general discussion.
- Can you introduce yourself in English?
- Could you talk about a situation involving you and your colleagues and how you handled it?
- Tell me about DevOps concepts.
Front End Developer
I started with a technical assignment and got an 85%, which shows my capabilities. After that, the HR interview went well. Then there was a long silence of 45 days. Suddenly, someone called me for a technical interview. I managed to answer almost all questions, although I was a bit indirect on two. The interviewer, however, thought I was a good fit. I then waited over two weeks for any response, positive or negative, and still don't know what I did wrong. I also spoke to another candidate, a senior, who experienced the exact same thing. I approached her because she seemed to be waiting for someone. After I shared my experience, she realized she wouldn't hear back either. I definitely don't recommend this company.
- Questions concerning front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, MUI, ReactJS, Redux, and Axios were asked.
Software Automation Tester
The interview process was a bit convoluted because it was managed by a third-party HR company, which complicated scheduling. They'd call to confirm a date, then send an email, and if that didn't work, they'd call again to discuss alternative dates before coordinating with the actual company. The steps involved a Codility test, a Selenium task, and questions about testing principles and BDD. This was followed by a technical and HR interview with the local team in Egypt, which were straightforward and had easy questions. Finally, there was a more informal chat with the product owner in Europe and the technical lead to get acquainted and discuss the project.
- Can you explain how to switch to a different tab using Selenium?
- What steps would you take to troubleshoot a situation where text isn't being entered into a field as expected?
