First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Applications Specialist
It was a long process, but they communicated well overall. The questions were pretty simple, though sometimes they weren't clear. Overall, it was a good experience; I liked discussing the future direction of Cedars. The interviewers knew their stuff, but sometimes seemed a little stuck on the exact answers they wanted.
- When clinicians request a specific feature, how do you manage communicating priorities to them?
Applications Specialist
It was a pretty long process, took about two months total. After I submitted my application, they sent some extra questions via email. About a month later, they asked if I wanted to come in for in-person interviews with HR, the Team Lead, and the Manager. Got the offer letter two weeks after that.
- Could you provide detailed questions about your previous research experience?
Applications Specialist
I put in my application for the Associate Applications Specialist job in LA back in late 2015. It was a two-round process. First, I had a 30-minute call with the recruiter where we chatted about my resume and some behavioral stuff. About two weeks later, I went in for a full day of interviews. I started with a few hours of tests covering math, English, grammar, and logic skills, but I actually finished that part in about 45 minutes. Afterwards, I had an hour for a presentation and an interview. They asked us to prepare a 10-minute presentation on anything we wanted. I chose to talk about an extracurricular that was meaningful to me and had relevant experiences. My interviewer gave me feedback on my presentation and then asked standard behavioral questions. The only bummer was how long it took them to let me know if I got the offer – it took over a month, and they didn't really explain the delay.
- Can you share an accomplishment you are proud of?
- Tell me about a time you led a team.
- When have you had to persuade someone to use a new technology?
