Human Resources
The process started with defining the job requirements, followed by an initial screening. Then there was a technical or skill assessment, and a behavioral interview. After that, another technical/competency interview, and a cultural fit/leadership interview. The final round was an executive interview, then a reference check, followed by a job offer and onboarding.
- What is your notice period?
Guest Service Intern
The interview was on Microsoft Teams. I initially had three rounds for a different position, but they recommended me for this role instead. They mentioned the environment would be relaxing, and it was. They asked standard questions.
- Can you tell me about your strengths?
- What do you consider your weaknesses?
Marketing
The interview was very professional. The interviewer was from the marketing department and we connected since we are from the same area. She inquired about my schooling, my career aspirations with my degree, my interest in working at Cedar Point, and my frequency of visiting the park. She maintained a more professional demeanor during the interview compared to her usual work behavior, where she was perceived as unkind and disrespectful towards interns.
- What makes you want to work for this company?
- Can you discuss your previous work experiences?
- What skills or qualities do you bring to this role?
Park Services Manager
I first filled out the application online. About two weeks after that, I received an email asking for my availability for a phone interview. A week after the phone interview, they asked me to do a Skype interview, which I had a week after that. The Skype interview was pretty long, almost 2 hours, and they offered me the job right at the end of it.

- Could you describe your personality?
- What motivated you to apply for this particular position over other opportunities at our company?
