I had 2 interviews and then a final call today. The questions were pretty simple and to the point as far as experience and a small knowledge test on technology. I DID accept over the phone today, but at $19 an hour I am reconsidering because I make more in my current role doing less than what I was told this role would require

I had two interviews, first with the recruiter and then with the lead RD. She asked a lot about motivational interviewing, which I'm great at. Didn't get the job though, which is fine 'cause I heard bad things about it being like a call center making outgoing calls.

So, I was preparing my case study for the last round interview, and then their HR contacted me to say they had already made an offer to another candidate. They invited me to the last round, gave me a case study, and didn't say they made an offer to another candidate, knowing I would have dropped out. Then they just canceled my interview without giving me a chance. That's so shallow. What kind of values and corporate culture do you have? They should have made decisions only after interviewing all the candidates they invited. That would have been much more polite and respectful, and I wouldn't have these negative feelings. What's more, they never apologized, which means they think this behavior is normal.

After applying, I was quickly contacted by recruiting. A phone call was set up with a recruiter. She was new and seemed unprepared, even having a side conversation during our video call. It felt like I was a practice interview for her because she couldn't answer questions about the role. The questions were standard. She said I'd hear back in 24 hours, but I didn't. I emailed the lead recruiter for an update and was told they weren't moving forward, with no explanation. They could have at least reached out as a courtesy instead of leaving me hanging. Overall, it was very unprofessional, and I wouldn't recommend it.
