First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ceatus Media Group.
Software Engineer
I applied online and the whole interview process was conducted remotely. First, I had an interview with the CTO, followed by a technical test. Then, there was a casual interview with members of the software team. Finally, a last interview where we mainly discussed soft skills. Even though it was all quite professional, I got the impression that the company was disorganized at the time. I received several other highly competitive offers, so I turned down the offer I received, which was for an annual salary of $85,000.

- Can you write a function that, given an array of integers, returns the number of sub-arrays with an odd sum?
SEO Associate
I spoke with the manager, head of marketing, and the SEO team. We talked about my experience and the role. The whole thing took one day. I spent at least an hour with the managers and the team. We went over my previous experience and some Q&As about my work background.
- What defines effective SEO for a client?
SEO Associate
I had 2 interviews for the SEO Associate role. The first was with the head of SEO, and the second was with the team, including one person joining via conference call. A good chunk of both interviews involved me asking them questions about the company and their strategy. They also talked a bit about the company itself and what they're looking for in new hires. Both interviews lasted about 30 minutes. No tests were given since the role doesn't require much experience. The whole thing was pretty straightforward. My advice is to research the company beforehand so you have good questions ready, and you should be fine.
- Could you share some information about yourself and your background, including any internship or professional experience you have?
- What are your expectations regarding salary?
- Which SEO blogs or experts do you currently follow?
SEO Specialist
I had three separate calls with different people, and none of them felt like a grueling interrogation. It seemed like they were more focused on figuring out if I'd be a good fit for the role and the company, and if it was the right fit for me too.
- Can you elaborate on your previous SEO work experience?
- Tell me about a time your prior work experience in SEO was particularly relevant.
- What aspects of your past roles are most applicable to this SEO position?
