First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CDK Global.
Sales Representative
The interview process was pretty quick and had 4 parts. It wrapped up in about 3-4 days. Everyone I talked to was easy to get ahold of and asked questions that were to the point.
- Can you tell me about your experience in sales, specifically for this role?
- What is your comfort level with travel requirements for this position?
- How do you approach commission structures and what are your expectations?
Sales
It's a long interview process with nice conversations with potential colleagues. It starts with a recruiter who is professional, knowledgeable, and supportive. Everyone helps you get a clearer picture of the work environment, the team, and its people. Having time between interviews is good for processing information, which is a welcome change from the usual 'hire hire close close' mentality that leads to high turnover and a poor atmosphere. This allows the team and me to evaluate each other. More interviews with my future colleagues are coming up, and I'm still excited about joining the team. I hope they feel the same!
- What do you hope we are not?
Sales Representative
The interview process was very straightforward. The recruiter was great, but the hiring manager was unprepared, distracted, and unengaged. He seemed borderline combative. I learned later that he was no longer with the company. I'd interviewed with them before and gotten an offer, but that was 3 months prior.
- Why should we hire you?
