the interview process was professional, to the point, made sense, and was rational. it was comfortable. staff members talked to each other about the candidate throughout the interview day (without the candidate present) and compared experiences. it was an interview process that provides a clear assessment of a candidate’s skills, aptitude, and potential for culture fit.

I was referred by an existing employee for this role, and it was a pretty rough HR process. I managed to clear two technical rounds and one HR round. The HR person mentioned a final round would be scheduled for the next week, but I didn't hear back for two weeks. I had my friend nudge the HR person, who then told my friend they'd reschedule and call me. I never got that call. After following up 3-4 times, the HR person finally told my friend they had scheduled my interview, but again, never called me. I showed up for the final round only to find out the senior person who was supposed to interview me had left early, and HR hadn't bothered to inform me. I had to take half a day off for this. Then, I called HR 3-4 times to schedule the final interview again. Each time, they assured me my profile wasn't rejected or on hold and promised to reschedule and inform me. It's been two months now, and I still haven't received any call or email from HR throughout this entire process.

I submitted my application online through the CDK website. About two weeks later, a Talent Acquisition representative from Texas reached out to me. My first interview was a phone screen with her. Next, I had a phone interview with the Professional Services Manager. Everyone I spoke with said I'd hear back no matter what. But I never did. No one from CDK ever got back to me. I also sent follow-up emails, but got no replies. That feedback loop is super important. So, I guess our values just don't align, and I won't be recommending CDK or applying there again.
