First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CCMSI.
Claims Adjuster
Had a virtual interview with a few managers. They asked general claims handling questions and some about real-world application. Also asked about states I've handled, client types, and any licenses/certifications. Managers also asked about my time management and daily activities.
- How many years of experience do you have in claims, and what is your overall background in this field?
- Can you describe your overall claims experience?
- Tell me about your general claims handling expertise.
Claims Assistant
I interviewed in the office with my potential supervisor. Another interviewer joined by phone. They asked me some general questions to learn more about me. I also asked about the job and they gave me a quick rundown of what the day-to-day would be like.
- What prompted your departure from your previous employment?
Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster
I put my application in online and got an email back the same day. We scheduled an in-person interview for a few days later. It included some behavioral questions, talking about my past jobs, and how I'd deal with different scenarios. It wasn't too tough. The managers interviewing me seemed interested and shared how much they liked working at CCMSI. They mentioned HR would call for another interview, which was a brief phone call. This call covered a few more situation-handling questions, went over my resume, and we discussed pay and benefits. I got an offer about two weeks after but it was only a little more than I make now and the commute was way longer, so I turned it down since they wouldn't budge on salary.
- Be ready for behavioral questions and have specific examples.
- Be prepared for behavioral type questions and have specific examples.
Claims Adjuster
First, I had a phone chat with HR. After that, I went in person to meet all the supervisors. We talked about the different kinds of claims there are. We also discussed my experience working for previous companies and how I deal with conflict or really demanding clients.
- Could you elaborate on your previous experience?
- How do you manage your workload effectively?
- What is your experience with various types of claims?
