First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CCL Industries.
Process Engineer
So there were two interviews total. First one was a phone call with HR, and the second was a zoom call with two process engineers. It was super simple and they just asked about my resume.
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
Machine Operator
The interview process was easy, mostly just asking simple questions. I sat in the office and took a math test. We also walked around the building. We talked about what I was looking for in a job. It was pretty simple, not much else to say.
- Tell me about your attendance.
- What is your work experience?
Team Lead
A recruiter from CCL reached out to me and we agreed I was a good fit. Most of my contact was with the recruiter, and after interviews, I was told I was their top candidate and they were impressed. They said they were ready to give an offer, but leadership wanted a casual meet-and-greet. This extra interview turned out to be a tough grilling on my experience and the role. Looking back, it seems they had someone else in mind and were just clearing out other candidates. I felt blindsided by the communication and feedback. I'd heard about culture issues at this location and wanted to help fix them, but it's clear the culture problem starts at the top and needs to be addressed there. Business sense is important, but people skills are essential.
- What are your salary expectations?
Technical Services Engineer
I had a phone screening with the HR manager first. After that, there was a panel interview with a few different groups from different parts of the plant. Each group had about 2-3 people. They mainly asked me about my background, what I'm interested in, and how I'd deal with possible work scenarios. They also gave me time to ask them questions about the job and the company.
- Can you share an experience where you dealt with a difficult coworker and explain your approach?
- Could you tell us about your background and what your interests are?
- How would you approach and manage different work situations?
