First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CBL & Associates Properties.
Operations Manager
The interview was very professional. I learned a lot about the company, the role, and the team. It felt more like a conversation, and there weren't any tricky or unprofessional questions.
- Can you tell me about your experience with contracts and contract management?
Customer Service Representative
It was horrible. He told me I got the job and would follow up with a background check and drug test, but then they never reached out. He then said he was going to rescind his offer because I was bothering him.
- Basic questions
Marketing Director
I saw the job on a job board right before it closed. I applied online, sent my resume via fax to the GM, and then called the secretary to get her to talk to the GM about me. The GM called me to schedule an interview for the next day or two. The GM interview went well, and I got a call that same day from the Regional Marketing Director who came in from Dallas for another interview a few days later. Then they asked about my salary expectations and offered me the job. I wanted an offer, and I didn't really know the salary range because I didn't have much experience in this industry. They offered me the job and gave me exactly what I asked for.
- Could you walk me through how you would approach selling advertising space to a local business owner, including how you'd start, set up a meeting, present the advantages, and deal with any pushback on the price?
Leasing Manager
I was flown into Chattanooga and met as many people as possible in my future department to see if I would be a fit within the company culture. I spent one day touring Chattanooga with an employee, and the second day in the office interviewing with the CEO, senior management, and team members.
