First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CBI - Cyber Security Solutions.
Cyber Security Analyst
It was an extremely long and drawn-out process. There were at least 13 other candidates and five people interviewing. You go through a round of 3-4 interviews and then they make their decision. They also make you fill out a personality test and two writing assessments during that time. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. It is supposed to be an entry position but they expect you to know everything and conduct projects at home.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What are your reasons for wanting to join CBI?
Security Consultant
It was a pretty straightforward process with just two main parts: a quick 30-minute phone chat and then an on-site interview. The on-site involved three separate 15-minute chats with different people from CBI. What's cool is you actually get to meet some high-level folks, which you might not in other places. It sounds a bit nerve-wracking, but it was actually pretty chill and relaxed. The three short interviews weren't hard-hitting at all. Plus, the recruiter who reached out was really professional and kept me in the loop, which was great. I was also really impressed with how well they communicated.
- What makes you think you'd be a good addition to our team?
Cyber Threat Hunter
The process kicked off with a quick chat with a recruiter, followed by a meeting with the hiring manager and a team member. They made a quick decision. Everyone involved in the interview process was really respectful of my time and the effort I put in. What I wasn't a fan of were the trivia-style questions during the interview, as I don't think that's a great way to interview someone.
- Can you tell me what port 3319 is used for?
Cyber Security Analyst
Went through a few phone interviews. Everyone was really nice and easy to chat with. They asked some standard questions, but mostly focused on personality and your future plans. Apparently, they have a few openings because the company is growing. They just want to make sure it's a good fit for everyone.
- What are your career aspirations?
- What professional direction are you hoping to take?
