So their interview consists of a phone screen followed by in person interviews. I don't think they really have an HR department, because their staff seemed pretty clueless in terms of procedure (disorganized, etc.). Initial questions were quite simple, talking about trends, previous experience etc. When you arrive for your second round interview....its frightening. First off, their office looks, to be nice, kind of dumpy. Computers are old, offices (or lack there of) are cramped, and it seems shady. They sit you down, run you through some technical tests. The people are nice, but when it comes down to compensation, non existant. Their "data" gathering techniques seem to have webcrawlers running on other sites, and they outsource their quality assurance to India. People didn't seem like they were friends, and the CEO seamed a little stuck up.

The interview process included an initial phone call, a skills assessment, in-person interviews, and a final phone call. The team members were passionate and clearly invested in their work. The questions focused on my interest in the industry and the company. The interviews felt like relaxed conversations to ensure a good mutual fit. I met great people and would welcome the chance to work with them again. I'll keep an eye on CB Insights for future openings.

The interview process began with a 30-minute recruiter call that was mostly introductory and focused on culture fit. Two days later, there was a hiring manager interview where sector-specific questions were asked, nothing designed to catch you out. This was followed by a data assessment, which I didn't pass. While everything else was handled well, the assessment instructions were vague and didn't fully align with the task, seeming like generic instructions which caused confusion. I was given four days to complete an assignment that was estimated to take 3-4 hours. I was naturally disappointed not to proceed, especially since the assessment outcomes they were looking for were impossible to achieve in 3-4 hours.
