A recruiter reached out to see if I was a good fit for the role. The whole process was pretty fast, and everyone I talked to was really friendly, open, and honest about what it's like to work at Caylent, covering both the good parts and the tough parts. It involved a few calls with the recruiter, an initial chat with a Project Manager, then a follow-up with a manager, and finally a panel presentation and interview. It was a great experience overall.

Behavioral Presentation

Started with a phone screen with the recruiter, which felt a bit disorganized as they seemed to have forgotten previous conversations. Then had a video interview with team members. The final stage involved a mock presentation, but they didn't provide much guidance or details on what they were looking for. Some managers even admitted they lack clear internal processes.

Behavioral Presentation

The company misrepresented the interview process length, initially stating 3 rounds (initial, lead, and group) but later adding a scenario/presentation round after the second interview. The scenario provided was poorly conceived and seemed to be a generic template. The task was to create a kickoff presentation for a panel that would role-play. However, during the actual presentation, one panel member was absent, and another was largely silent, making it effectively a one-on-one. The candidate had prepared for interactive role-playing, but the interaction was minimal and awkward. Post-presentation, there were pointed questions about undefined project aspects and decision-making. Despite being told to expect a response in a few days, an automated rejection for a different role was received within hours. The candidate felt the company wasted their time and likely sought free presentation templates rather than genuinely hiring.
