First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cavallo.
Web Developer
So, this was my first interview with this company that I got through a recruiter. When I first met the hiring coordinator, she mentioned she was kind of new to the company and shared her opinion about it, saying it was neither great nor terrible. From what I could tell initially, there wasn't much 'collaboration' going on from an outside view. A lot of the developers seemed stressed and unhappy, but honestly, that could have been for any number of reasons...
- Could you please review the provided AngularJS code and calculate the total number of widgets?
Software Developer
I had a 30-minute phone interview. They asked some basic questions about object-oriented programming concepts and my general understanding of them. They also asked typical interview questions like 'Where do you see yourself in 5 years?' and 'Why do you want to be a developer at SalePad?' This was for a Co Op Software Developer position.
- Can you explain the reasoning behind using an Abstract class?
- Where do you envision yourself professionally in five years?
- What motivates your desire to work as a developer at SalePad?
Technical Support Engineer
HR called me and we had a conversation, then I moved to a second interview with James. The interview was pretty chill and easy, mostly behavioral questions about how I handle issues. One thing I didn't like was that James didn't seem very prepared and asked if I had distribution experience, which was odd given I just graduated with a technical internship. He said he'd let me know this week, but it's been over two weeks with no reply, which is disappointing.
- Can you tell me about your project experience and what your role was?
- How would you handle an upset customer?
- Did you have any distribution experience?
Software Engineer
They looked at my application online and then reached out. I had one interview with the engineering director and a manager. We talked about my resume and my past experiences, and they wanted to see if I'd be a good fit for their team.
- Tell me about your resume and previous roles.
- Can you describe your responsibilities in past positions?
- How do you think you would fit in with our team?
