I got an email from them with a phone number to call to schedule an in-person interview. The first manager I spoke with didn't start with typical interview questions; she first wanted to get to know me as a person and asked her own questions, which made me feel comfortable before moving on to the official company questions. The next part was pretty straightforward: I had to create two complete outfits for different occasions, including shoes and jewelry. They also asked for my opinion on the clothes in the store and on display, wanting to know what I thought was trending. This part was really open-ended and not timed. Then, I had a second interview via video chat with another manager. She asked a few questions and was happy to answer my questions about career growth and her perspective on the company. I heard back the same day and was offered the position after orientation. It was a really positive experience, making me wish all interviews were this smooth and relaxing. I highly recommend it!

I applied online and then got a call for an interview. The interview itself seemed to go well. Then I had to do this really long 'survey' which had 80 questions where I had to rate things from 1 to 10, from completely agree to completely disagree. That was pretty annoying. They said I'd hear back in 5 days, so when I didn't, I called. The hiring manager said she was still checking references and to call back next week. I did, and got the same answer. So another week passed, and I called again, still the same answer. I finally just asked if the position was filled, and she gave me the same response. I gave up after that. My reasoning was if a hiring manager can't just tell me if the job is filled, I don't want to work for them. I've heard that the store hasn't been doing great since it opened, so I think this was actually a good thing for me.

I had to get the approval of the District Manager too, since I was applying for the assistant manager position. The interviewer also asked me to pick out 2 themed outfits to see how I would react to a customer asking me for fashion advice. Questions I was asked: How do you handle stressful moments? How do you handle vulgar customers? Have any sales or retail experience?

What action would you take if you witnessed a colleague stealing?

I can only start you at $7.50 would that be okay? That was the first thing question that they ask me. They concentrate only on the amount of money they can afford to pay me. They said if I was not fine with it they would not proceed with interview or paperwork to waste our time. At the time I really needed money, although the rate seemed low, I say it was fine.
