First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Catholic Medical Mission Board.
Administration
I had an HR screen, then two panel interviews with staff at different levels and jobs. They made decisions in a reasonable time. I had lots of opportunities to ask questions. Everyone involved was very nice.
- What is your motivation for seeking employment with this company?
Coordinator
It was a pretty standard three-round interview that included an exam. It was pretty basic. I interviewed with the team I would be working with, and there was a screening and a final interview. The final interview happened after I passed an examination.
- What makes you want to join this company?
Major Gifts Officer
The process started with a phone interview that quickly moved to an in-person meeting with the hiring team. I was surprised when one of the VPs showed up. Some questions felt out of line, especially when compared to interviews with non-Catholic organizations.
- Instead of asking about me and my qualifications, the interview became a fact-finding mission about another Catholic charity.
- You said you have ten years of experience in religious non-profits, but you didn't list every organization. Are you lying on your resume?
- Can you give examples of other religious non-profits where you have worked?
Communications Director
The interview process for this role at CMMB involved 5 interviews and a writing test as part of their staffing requirement. There were some red flags during the process, such as the executive leadership missing a one-on-one interview and forgetting to call at the scheduled time.
- Were key aspects of the job, such as traveling to dangerous and developing countries, disclosed upfront?
