First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Catholic Charities of Dallas.
Attorney
I applied for the job and got contacted for an interview. The first interview was over Zoom, but the interviewer was really late, like they totally forgot. I had to send an email to get them to join. Then, there was another Zoom interview later on, but the interviewer didn't even show up. They apologized after, but I had already decided it wasn't the right fit for me by then.
- Could you explain your interest in this role?
- Can you describe your relevant experience?
- What are your career aspirations?
Program Director
It started with a panel interview where they asked about my program experience, operational leadership, and if I'd fit in. Then, I had two more interviews with the Chief Program Officer. Those were about strategic planning, leading the department, and making sure the program's long-term goals were aligned.
- Tell me about your leadership style and its evolution throughout your career.
- Can you share an instance of a tough personnel issue you encountered and how you resolved it?
- How do you foster trust and ensure alignment among different teams?
Immigration Specialist
The interview process was informative, considerate, and thoughtful. The interviewer asked questions to ensure I was qualified and understood the position's needs. It was a strenuous interview, but definitely a good experience.
- Can you describe a time you had to manage your time effectively under difficult circumstances?
Attorney
The interview process was not well-organized, which was a letdown. I spoke with 4 people in total. The job posting didn't accurately describe the role I was actually interviewing for, and I didn't realize this until after the first interview. Even though the company has a good reputation, the way they conducted the interviews was a bit concerning.
- Could you tell me why you are interested in working with us?
- What experience do you have that is relevant to this position?
