Brand Ambassador
So, I had 4 rounds for this Brand Ambassador gig. The first 3 were phone calls with different employees from all over the country. The last phone call was actually with the CEO. After that, I made it to the final round, which was an in-person interview at the office in my city. I met with everyone who worked in that office. I thought it went great. They said I'd hear back in about a week. A week passed, no word, so I sent an email. It took them weeks to get back to me, finally sending an email apologizing for the delay and saying they decided to go with someone else. Kinda unprofessional to leave me hanging for weeks after a month-long process.
- What do you know about this role?
HR Manager
My first interview was a phone screen with Alex, one of the Co-Founders. Then I had a Skype chat with Zach, the other Co-Founder. Following that, I came into the office for back-to-back meetings with several team members. Alex seemed nice and knew his stuff. The interview process was okay, but Zach came across as really unpleasant—curt, abrupt, and acting like a know-it-all, even about HR. This vibe was totally confirmed by team members I met in San Francisco who told me how tough Zach is to work with, mentioning his aggressive and micromanaging style. I never heard back after the in-person interviews, and it's been over two years, so I guess I didn't get the job. Honestly, after hearing all that, I wouldn't have taken the offer anyway.
- How do you handle working with challenging managers?
Operations Associate
I was emailed by a recruiter and had a call the next day. It went well and she said she wanted me to speak with the manager over the phone within the week. I told her about my deadlines and she said she would speed up the process. The manager liked my experience and scheduled an in-person interview for the following week. I was supposed to meet 3 people, but only 1 showed up. The interview was supposed to be 1.5 hours but was cut to 20 minutes. It went well, but the interviewer wasn't well prepared. They said they'd get back to me within the week. I followed up about my deadline and they said they'd get back to me in a week. I pushed my deadline back again, and they said they were 'still finalizing the details' and didn't know when they'd respond. I moved on and haven't heard back in a month and a half. I feel ghosted and like my time was wasted. I saw Glassdoor reviews and realized I dodged a bullet. I wouldn't recommend this company and don't waste your time here.
- Can you describe how you would manage a challenging customer interaction?
Sales Development Representative
I got there about 10 minutes before my appointment time. The office is open plan. I ended up waiting in a small conference room because they were running a little behind schedule. I met with the Director of Sales and a Sales Manager. They asked pretty standard questions that felt more like a conversation about my accomplishments, hobbies, and how I'd handle certain scenarios. It was a relaxed, very friendly, and casual environment.
- Can you share an example of a time you achieved success?
