Implementation Manager
The interviews were pretty good overall, everyone was super nice. The recruiter was good about getting back to me and being upfront until they bounced. I had to find out they left when I didn't hear back for 4 days after the 4th interview. I eventually got a hold of the manager I spoke to earlier. It seemed like they didn't have a good plan for who would take over candidate communication when someone leaves. After 4 interviews, I was told it wasn't a good fit. It's a bit weird to interview 4 times before they decide they aren't looking for someone with my background for the role.

Customer Support Engineer
This was honestly the best interview process I've ever gone through. Brooke, the recruiting manager, was super organized and communicative throughout. We kicked things off with a phone screen, then I interviewed with the hiring manager, followed by a virtual onsite. After that, there was an assessment, and finally, an interview with the department head. Everyone I spoke with was great and gave really helpful insights. They definitely know their stuff over there. They made sure I knew what to expect from the start, kept me in the clear about everything, and Brooke was quick to let me know what was next. You can tell they really value candidates, no matter how things turn out, and it was a genuinely good time. Because of all this, I happily accepted their offer, feeling totally confident about the product and the team.

This was one of the most streamlined and energizing processes I've participated in as a candidate. I had a ~30 minute call with the hiring manager (my would-be direct boss), and her approach was refreshingly transparent and thoughtful. I then came onsite for a 5 hour visit, during which I met with key stakeholders and members of the leadership team. The conversations were varied in terms of interviewer style, but all shared the themes of agility/nimbleness, strategic approach, compassion, and excitement about the product. I came onsite once more to give a panel presentation (to the same group of interviewers I'd met during my prior visit). The prompt I'd received was thorough, and the interviewers' questions were (I believe) intentionally tough - and this just served to motivate me/reiterate how much the leaders here care about hiring and about who joins the org. I shared with the hiring manager that I had a time-sensitive offer elsewhere, and she subsequently provided me with a quick turnaround time/decision - though she made sure to share that she couldn't compromise the integrity of the process to do so (we still did background check, references, etc.) - which I definitely appreciated. It was a very easy decision to accept this offer, and I couldn't be happier that I did!
- Interesting hybrid of questions, focusing both on role/functional fit and on the embodiment of their values.

I interviewed for Catalyst in December 2020 and had one of the most flawless and natural recruitment experiences ever. I admit I was nervous to potentially switch jobs due to the climate (COVID-19, job market, etc.), as I did not want to be at the bottom of a totem pole, especially at a start-up. After submitting my resume, I was invited to speak with the recruiter. Within two minutes of the call, the recruiter had completely absolved all of my initial insecurities: the person was upbeat, transparent, and excited to learn about my experience. It was clear from our conversation that the company cares about its employees and the employees are genuinely happy. From there, I was invited to complete an assignment that gave me direct insight into what I would be doing on a day-to-day basis. This was followed by an interview with my direct manager, as well as the CEO. The conversations I had with each dug deep into the root of the role, and how it plays a part in the company as a whole. I completed the recruitment process with complete confidence of 1) the work I would be doing, 2) how I would integrate my experience and capabilities into the role, and 3) most importantly, the team I would be doing it for. I was extended an offer that I accepted with complete confidence. I am two months into the company, and I can say that my decision to join the Catalyst team was reflective of what was communicated to me during the recruitment process — I could not be happier!
