The interview process was pleasant and the questions were simple. However, I wouldn't recommend working here as they don't value their employees. If the Better Business Bureau knew how staff are treated, the company would likely be shut down. Despite this, they are still better than some other places, as many former employees have mentioned.

Make sure you don't have other plans on your interview day, as you'll be there for most of it. It starts with a written exam (pretty easy if you aced the NREMT written part), then a map reading test (you'll breeze through it if you can follow along with cartoons). After that, they'll call groups for a practical exam, which is like the NREMT practical but shorter and more casual. If you pass all three, you'll have an interview, which is super relaxed. They'll ask about you and how you work with others. I found out I got the job two days later, though the interviewer pretty much gave it away. Next, you'll have a week-long 'test' of your ability to sit still and look attentive. You'll watch informational videos for 8-9 hours a day for four days (five for medics). This was the hardest part for me; I had to slap myself constantly to stay awake. After all that, the real challenge begins: FTO shifts. My advice is to study up a bit beforehand, especially on how operations work and the PCR program, as it's crucial in EMS. I didn't, and I looked clueless. If you get a good FTO, you won't need to study as much, but if you're unlucky like me, your FTO might expect you to know the PCR program inside out and not tell you that you don't need to do a full body survey on routine transfers. If you get the minivan-style truck, you're lucky because you can hear your FTO, but if you get the box truck like I did, expect to catch only bits of sentences and radio chatter, and you'll need to be ready to jump out and act immediately upon arrival. Patience and a clear head are key to surviving FTO shifts. Once you complete your 80 hours of FTOing, you're good to go and can work without issues. Good luck!

The interview process included a panel interview, a 12-lead test, a protocol exam, two practical sessions using high-fidelity simulation, and a map test. Completing all the testing took most of the day. The person in charge of the practical sessions has a gruff demeanor and might seem like they dislike you, but don't let it deter you as they are not the one evaluating you; that's someone else's job.

So the company usually does a job fair but you can also apply online. I went to the job fair so I don't know about the online thing. The interview was basically meeting with a few higher-ups and then HR. After that, we had to take a pre-hire test. This test had a written part for clinical knowledge and map reading, then a protocol test, and then some hands-on skill tests.
