First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cast & Crew.
Payroll Coordinator
It was a two-stage interview process. Very direct and respectful of my time. The first was a phone screen with recruiting, and the second was with the leadership for the job. I got to ask clear questions and got honest, thoughtful answers. Everyone was nice and didn't use corporate jargon, which was a good change.
- What are your career growth expectations for this position?
Financial Analyst
The interview process was multi-round. It included a recruiter call, a hiring manager interview, an Excel test, and then interviews with executives/directors. The recruiter was quick to respond for the first two rounds and was upfront about it being an urgent hire. After the Excel test, they said they'd respond within 48-72 hours if everything went well, but then they went silent even after follow-ups. It's been a couple of months, and they're still looking for a senior financial analyst, which is discouraging given the experience.
- Can you start by telling me about yourself?
- What insights do you have about our company?
Software Engineer
The interview process was really unprofessional and a waste of time. I wouldn't recommend it because they ghost you, and even when I tried to follow up, I got no response. There were two interviews: one asking about my experience and then a coding interview. After the final interview, they said they'd follow up, but I was ghosted. It's a huge red flag that they had a bunch of engineering jobs listed for over a month, so don't waste your time with Cast & Crew.
- Can you discuss your previous work experience and highlight your skills?
Product Director
I had an initial chat with HR about an open role. At the end, they said they'd set up time for me to speak with the product leaders and asked about my availability. I gave them some times. After that, nothing. I was completely ghosted. It's okay to move on to other candidates, but if you weren't planning to keep me in the process, it would have been good to just know, instead of suggesting the process would continue and then not replying.
- Can you walk me through your previous work experience?
- What aspects of this particular role appeal to you?
- What are your career aspirations moving forward?
