UI-UX Designer
The process was smooth but slow, taking a month to clear the technical interviews. It started with an initial screening by the CASPEX panel (L1), followed by a client-side technical round (L2). Finally, I received an offer from CASPEX.
- Can you describe your user experience process?
Senior iOS Developer
The interview had some straightforward multiple-choice questions about iOS development, and then one LeetCode-style problem that was on the easier side. I was a bit surprised by a question related to the Appium testing framework, as it seemed a bit unrelated.
- For a given array, what's the minimum number of times you need to add a target value to make the array strictly increasing?
- Could you describe your understanding and usage of URLSession?
- What is the purpose and application of the 'weak' keyword in memory management?
Software Engineer
Recruiter from Walmart called about a job. The pay was low for the Bay Area. Then asked that I use Glider.ai. I told them I did not want the job but would try their AI just for practice. The AI is really bad and overly strict. I couldn't remember if ArrayList used .length() or .size() and so I can't look it up because AI thinks I'm cheating if I open a tab and look up any java docs. The AI also has no helper to show the method calls.
- How would you move all 0's to the end while maintaining the relative order of the other elements?
- Can you implement the LRUCache problem as seen on LeetCode?
Android Developer
First round was a coding test with one program labeled 'down' and some multiple-choice questions. Second round was a 1-hour technical interview. It wasn't super hard, more about real-world scenarios than pure theory. The interviewer was a nice guy.
- What's the way to achieve communication between a service and an activity (UI)?
- Describe how to manage a list of items and navigate to a details screen upon item click, incorporating a tab screen.
- Explain how to manage coroutines that run asynchronously, especially when one depends on another.
