I applied for over a month and then got a call to set up a phone interview. After the phone interview, I went in for an in-person interview the next week, and then had a second in-person meeting the week after that. I met with almost everyone in the department twice. I took a lot of time out of my schedule to meet with the department twice, and also paid for parking twice. Everything seemed to go well, but I was never contacted with a rejection, even after following up two weeks after my second interview, which I thought was rude given all the time I invested.

About a month after applying, I had a phone interview with two people from the department. Then, about two and a half months later, they called me back for an in-person interview. They said the job was on hold for a bit but they were ready to hire now. For the in-person, I met the same two people from the phone interview plus three more. They said they'd decide within a week, but I never heard back. I reached out to the hiring manager three weeks later about the status and got no reply. I don't think they ever filled the job. It's pretty discouraging when you put in a lot of effort preparing and taking time off work for interviews and don't even get a simple update.

The interview process was very professional and they answered all my questions. They asked about several things and gave me the impression that I would be doing work that I'm not now doing, like social media, but overall it was a good experience. It turns out that not all of the people I worked with were present, so it was a surprise to come in the first day and find that there were quite a few more people in the office than I had anticipated.
