First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Casa Systems.
System Engineer
Applied via LinkedIn, got an email from HR about a week later to schedule an interview. This first interview was about 20 mins, with some basic resume questions. Then I had four more rounds: two technical interviews and two interviews with hiring managers from different teams. Didn't hear back after that, even after following up via email and LinkedIn message.
- Could you explain the difference between pods and containers, and why a pod might contain more than one container?
Human Resources Assistant
They started with a telephone interview, then an onsite interview to meet with 3-5 team members (depending on the role). The total interview time is usually no more than 3 hours, which they mentioned before scheduling. The company tries to have you meet everyone during the first onsite interview so you don't have to go back a second time because they like to accommodate candidates and their time, which I appreciated. Everyone was very nice and made sure I was taken care of and asked if I needed anything like a drink or snack.
- Can you commit to working from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM?
- Can you tell us about your background and experience and how your skills align with Casa?
- Would you be willing to sign a 12-month non-compete agreement if offered the position?
FPGA and Platform Software Test Engineer
I was contacted directly through LinkedIn about my interest in the position, and after a brief back and forth established my availability the same day. I didn't hear back at all until 6 days later (the following Monday) when I received a calendar invite with no message, scheduled for Wednesday of that week. Then on Wednesday morning I received a notice in my email that the meeting had been cancelled. When I reached out to ask I was told by my contact they needed to discuss the position with the hiring manager and that they would follow up with me afterwards. After waiting again until the following Monday I followed up and was finally told that the hiring manager had decided to go in a different direction.

Revenue Manager
The interview was about 3 hours long. I met with some team members and HR. I thought it went well. They said I'd hear back the next day, but after two days of silence, I contacted HR. He mentioned he'd talk to the team and get back to me after the weekend. I never heard back. I also tried contacting the hiring manager multiple times with no response. It felt very unprofessional, especially since a simple reply about choosing another candidate would have sufficed instead of ghosting.
- Can you tell me why you are looking to leave your current role?
