The interview process started with a 15-minute screening call with the recruiting firm in the first week, followed by a 45-minute Skype interview with them as well, both experiences were positive. The second week involved a 1-hour in-person interview with the Deputy Director, which was also a positive experience. In the third week, there was a 45-minute in-person meeting with the recruiting firm at a coffee shop. By the fifth week, I had a 1-hour interview with the Leadership team. This experience was neutral; while most of the team was great, one person was late and seemed disinterested. The recruiter then requested professional references. In the sixth week, I received an email stating they were still interviewing other candidates but remained interested in me. They wanted me to have a second interview with the Deputy Director before meeting the Executive Director. However, I decided to withdraw my application. I was concerned by information that three people on the leadership team had left within the last two years, possibly due to being forced out or leaving by choice. Also, this was their second time interviewing candidates for this role, as they had final candidates in December 2014 who didn't receive an offer due to 'timing'. Even though I invested significant time, the perceived instability made me decide not to continue. Two weeks later, I received and accepted an offer from another agency.

This was a disappointing experience. For a company that seems so nice, they should be more upfront with candidates. I felt like they kept me waiting for months. The first interview was a Skype call with an outsourced HR person who was good at keeping me updated. Then I had an in-person interview in Monterey Park. They said I'd hear back in a week, but the HR person called a bit later to say they wanted to offer me the job after meeting the management team. I was thrilled, thinking it was a done deal. But then it turned out the 'job offer meeting' was actually a surprise third interview. I didn't get the job, and they told me to apply again for similar roles when they become available because they thought I was a good fit. I applied to two more jobs and never heard back. Overall, it's better to just say 'no' instead of leading someone on. Despite how nice they are, I'm really disappointed with how this was handled.

The interview process was really good, structured, and made me feel optimistic. They asked a lot of questions and shared a lot of information. It was a pleasant experience where I learned about the agency and they learned about me. The interview experience was very positive, and I felt like a great fit. I also received a tour of the agency and was able to ask about benefits and perks. This interview added to my practice experience with interviews. Everyone should learn good interviewing skills. Scheduling several interviews would be a good way to practice.

We had a few interviews. It started with two phone calls. Then we had two in-person interviews. The last one was a panel with three execs. After the third interview, I had to make a 90 day plan.
