First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Caruso Affiliated.
Development Coordinator
After submitting my application, the HR department contacted me to set up an initial chat. Following that first interview, they arranged a call with my direct manager for a more official interview.
- What are your long-term career aspirations, say for the next five years?
Intern
The interview was super fast and efficient. It was a mix of behavioral and technical questions. It was a 2:1 interview with two ladies from HR, and it lasted around 30 minutes. They asked about my past experiences, my future career goals, and then a few specific questions about the field I chose on the application (like Marketing, architecture, leasing, etc.)
- Could you list five current marketing trends?
Leasing Agent
I talked to 3 people. First, my direct manager who is the leasing property manager. Then, the manager of The Americana. Lastly, the CEO Rick Caruso. The interviews weren't too hard. They want to see if you have a good sales personality, dress well, and are a hard worker.
- Could you share any previous leasing or mortgage experience you might have?
Administrative
It was a very formal in-person interview with three employees who asked the same general questions. They said they'd reply within a week, but after three months and three follow-ups, I never heard back. I was talking directly with HR and one of the interviewers, which felt like a bad joke. Seriously, reply to candidates! It makes me question the professionalism of such a 'caliber' organization. Sad.
- They had me write a fake business letter.
