The process was pretty standard until the 3rd round where they just stopped responding. After I sent a bunch of follow up emails for a couple of weeks, they finally told me they wanted the role to be in a different location, about 250 miles away.

The interview process is super simple, but then again I did go from a sales associate to an assistant manager. The questions are straightforward and simple to understand, mostly just common sense. The hardest part is doing the key test/interview, which is the process where they allow you to get your keys after answering a series of specific questions about the store.

I saw a table set up outside a new construction site for an open house and applied there. They asked me a few questions about my resume and application right then. That same evening, I got a call saying a district manager wanted to interview me. The interview was the next day at a Starbucks. The manager was super friendly and professional, asking really good questions and was very engaging. I left feeling confident and was told to visit one of her stores and then email her a review of my visit along with my resume. Three days later, I had a phone interview with someone from HR that went really well. They told me I'd be contacted soon, but I never was. For an entry-level management position, I'd expect a professional company to at least reach out to every applicant, but there was no sign I wasn't seen as qualified. They actually asked me a lot about onboarding and salary. After 2 months of me emailing twice and calling once, I've accepted it's not happening and my opinion of the company is pretty low now. It's wild that no one could even reply with a decision after two interviews and a store visit. I'm baffled a company this big handles things with such unprofessionalism and lack of basic tact.
