First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Carta.
Product Manager
The interview process involved a recruiter screen, followed by an interview with the hiring manager. Then, there was a product case assessment, and another product case during an interview panel. The process also included interviews with cross-functional partners in engineering, design, and business. The whole thing took around 6 to 8 weeks to complete.
- What makes you want to join Carta?
Product Manager
First I had a recruiter call, then a call with a Product team member I'd work with. After that, there was a Case Study call, followed by an Onsite round that included behavioral, case study, case study, behavioral, and engineering interviews.
- Can you explain how you connect features to strategic objectives and business models?
- Describe the most challenging professional feedback you have ever gotten.
- Tell me about a situation where you attempted to persuade someone, and describe your approach.
Product Manager
This was a pretty standard interview process for a Product Manager role. The questions were on the easier side, especially if you've prepped for FAANG companies. However, the company's treatment of candidates was really disrespectful. It's been four weeks since my on-site interview, and the product recruiter went completely silent even after I followed up. We candidates put in over 10 hours into this, and it's frustrating not to get a response or any respect. It left a really bad impression of Carta overall. It makes you question if you'd even want to work there. From my experience, companies that don't prioritize the candidate experience often reflect their company culture.
- Standard product sense questions were asked.
- Standard execution questions were asked.
