You fill out an application online, and if they like it, they'll call you in for a one-on-one interview with the hiring manager. She'll ask you basic retail sales questions, like why you're interested in retail sales, and then ask for examples from your past experiences that relate to sales. I got the job the same day, but I've heard it can take up to a week. After the interview, they do a background check, and then they train you on the computers and on the sales floor.

I applied online and got a call from the department manager the next night around 7:30pm. Then they asked me to come in on a Saturday for an interview, which I wasn't thrilled about. It lasted about an hour. Since it's a commissioned job, you gotta be a good seller. The staff seemed unfriendly when I first walked in. It was okay, but I don't really mind if I get the job or not.

The interview was 30 minutes long and took a long time to hear back. Also had to wait 20 min for someone to interview me. It was a long time ago. I don't remember much other than she wanted to know more about me since it was my first job.
