Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CarShop.
Sales Representative
I met with the sales manager and an assistant manager. The manager was professional and attentive and a good listener. The assistant manager was friendly enough, but somewhat immature. I think the assistant manager decided not to hire me before asking the first question, based on my age.
- Can you share an instance where you exceeded expectations to provide outstanding customer service?
Sales
The CarSense team seemed really professional all the way through. My interview was set for 11AM, and I was talking with an executive right at 11:05! After that, I met with the Sales Manager who was also really good at asking questions.
- What's your strategy for dealing with rejection and hearing 'No' during sales pitches?
Sales Representative
This was hands down the most thorough interview process I've been through. Everyone was really kind from the start. The managers made me feel comfortable talking about my experiences openly. They clearly care a lot about the quality of people they hire. They don't just focus on professional skills, and you won't get many of those types of questions. It's also clear that each interview builds on the previous one, so they actually discuss candidates. They provide great accommodations, showing they value your time and interest as much as their own.
- Could you share a bit about yourself?
