Account Manager
Applied online and got contacted really fast for a phone interview, then had an in person interview. Everyone seemed nice, but then when waiting to hear back about the decision, I felt like I was being strung along. The recruiter ghosted all my emails. When she finally replied, she asked if I could chat that day. I said I was free whenever and asked what time worked best for her. No response until the end of the day when she set up a late call and then didn't even call on time to tell me I didn't get the job. Their recruiting team needs to communicate better and be more upfront. A phone call for a rejection wasn't necessary and was pretty rude to make me wait all day just to tell me no.
- If hired, what are your short-term goals with this company?
Account Manager
It's a team setting interview. You sit in a room and managers, 2 at a time, come in to chat. They ask the same questions. Some managers will just talk about themselves. It's honestly really laid back. The job is so easy.
- How do you handle stress?
Account Manager
Since this is an internal promotion, you need to prove yourself first. This means contacting the manager of the team you want to join and shadowing the current team members to understand their work. Then, you officially apply. The interview process includes a competency-based questionnaire related to the job description. You'll also be interviewed by another manager in the department and then have a panel interview with the entire team. The managers ask the more challenging questions, while the team asks about your motivation for the job to see if you'd be a good fit and work well together. There's also an assignment to complete, which is often discussed during the team interview.
- Can you share an instance where you had to negotiate with a superior?
- Describe a time you had to prove your abilities to secure a promotion.
