After the recruiter reached out, I had an in-person interview. I met with the director of the production department, the studio producer, and some production coordinators. They also gave me a tour of the production department and introduced me to the team. The interview itself went really well. Unfortunately, despite following up multiple times, including with the recruiter, I never heard back. I kept trying to get an update, but still nothing. I later met someone else who was also applying for the same role. She also felt the interview went well but never heard back from them either. It was complete radio silence, which felt really unprofessional and inconsiderate.

I had a quick email chat with the recruiter and thought things were going well, but then I had a phone interview. The interviewer used to work at my current company and started comparing my job to my coworkers. Then she told me I was too junior for the role and suggested I should look for entry-level jobs. It was weird because she asked for the interview in the first place. She didn't even ask about my experience. I told her upfront that this job wasn't for me if people like her were making decisions, and she told me to only apply for entry-level positions. I've never had such an unprofessional interview.

The application process was amazing! I don't want to give away too much, but you should know a bit about poetry. Since I'm from Canada, my experience might have been a bit different. First, I had a phone interview to see if I was a good fit for the Carrot family. Then, I had a Skype interview that went deeper into my experience and expectations. My advice is to be patient after your interview. I got my offer about a week later, which felt quick, and it was a tweet from Mike the CEO.

The interview felt pretty relaxed and was conducted over Google Hangouts. It took about two weeks from when I was first invited to get it set up because they needed to check with the recruiter. After it was done, she mentioned I should get an email within the week, but even after sending two follow-up emails, I haven't heard back. There was no further communication after the interview and before the internship start date, which was a bit unexpected since I would have thought I'd get some kind of update whether it was a yes or no.
