So the interview process started with like two HR screening calls, mainly to see if I fit and if my communication skills were up to par, and if I was aligned with the company culture and values. It was a good chance for me to talk about my experience and why I wanted the job, and also to make sure we were on the same page about what the role involved. After that, they sent me a take-home case study. It was meant to check my problem-solving, analytical skills, and how I think things through, especially with a deadline. I put together a detailed report with my approach, what I assumed, and what I recommended. The last part was a Q&A with a senior manager where I had to present my case findings and answer their more in-depth questions. This part really tested how quickly I could think, justify my ideas, and show that I have good business sense on the spot. Pretty soon after finishing all that, I got the offer.
- Can you elaborate on the rationale for your case interview analysis?

First up is a phone interview. Hiring depends on demand. If a new client comes in, HR will review candidates they've already spoken with on the phone or met at job fairs and invite them for an in-person interview. The phone interview is pretty basic, so don't stress about it. The in-person interview has some challenging questions. Be straight with the HR director and don't try to trick them; they'll figure it out. Also, dress appropriately. Many of our clients have a blue-collar workforce, and they appreciate our modest approach, not being flashy or arrogant. If you're thinking of a flashy suit, this probably isn't the right fit unless you have hospitality experience.
- What motivates you to pursue a career in management consulting?

I went through the screening interview with Carpedia and they seemed interested. They said they'd contact me by the end of the week to schedule my interviews, but it's been 3 weeks and I haven't heard back, even after sending 3 follow-up emails. This feels really unprofessional given I've put other offers on hold to consider them, and I mentioned this in my emails, but still no response.
- Tell me about your availability and if you're a good fit for the role.
