First, there was a phone call, and I got accepted for the in-person interview process. This happened at the Carnegie Science center about a week later. I had an in-person interview scheduled with the director of the section I applied to. A second person also joined the interview, asking only a few questions compared to the main interviewer. It was pretty easy, but about 5 questions were really detailed and unusual for interviews I've had before.

Got a call from the hiring manager about a week after applying, and they did a quick 10 minute screening right then. We set up an in-person interview for about three weeks later. On the interview day, I got there a bit early, and they had me wait almost 20 minutes past the start time. The hiring manager started by asking me what I wanted to know about the role. I went through my prepared questions, and he answered them. It was pretty awkward, no small talk or typical interview questions like 'tell me about a problem you solved.' Then, I was moved to another room to wait for the director. I could even overhear the hiring manager talking to the director, which was uncomfortable. After that, two directors came in and did a more standard interview, asking about my background and experience. It was challenging, and I felt good about the company and the co-directors, but not so sure about the hiring manager.

It was a 45 minute zoom interview and then they asked for references. There was no in person or phone interview, and it wasn't multiple rounds. They were pretty quick with it, I got an offer about 2 weeks after applying.
