First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Carlisle Interconnect Technologies.
Training Coordinator
The initial communication went great. I had two phone interviews and one in-person. The salary range of 44k-77k was shared during the first call. The recruiter was awesome, and the manager was great too. The generalist was direct. The job duties seemed to shift during the in-person interview, moving from 70-75% training focus to 15% training and 65% admin, plus 20% accounting. The interview itself felt good, with smiles and laughter, and I ticked all the boxes. Then they called back just for salary expectations. It was weird because I stayed within their range, but they seemed hesitant. After that, nothing. I think because they changed the job duties, they also dropped the salary range significantly, and I wish I had a chance to negotiate.
- Can you tell me a little about yourself?
- What do you consider your greatest strength?
- And what would you say is your greatest weakness?
Supply Chain Analyst
The interview process included two interviews. The first was with the team lead, and the second was with the hiring manager. The hiring manager was not friendly at all and seemed to only hold the position based on her 20+ years with the company. She would not make eye contact with me during the entire interaction. She would always compare my education to hers and sort of looked down on me for being a recent graduate with no experience other than internships (which she didn't acknowledge). She took no notes during our interview and I did not have an opportunity to demonstrate my character as a person. They said they would call me back with a decision in a day or two and they never gave me a call back from either her or HR, which was not professional at all.
- Are you familiar with MRP?
Electrical Assembler
The interview process was quick and straightforward. It started with a phone call, followed by an in-person meeting where the hiring manager also showed me around the factory. Everyone I met was really nice. I got a good sense of the job, and the work area seemed very clean.
- Can you discuss your previous work experience?
- What motivates your interest in working with us?
- Could you share an achievement you're particularly proud of?
SAP Functional Analyst
First, there was a quick HR call, then a call with the hiring manager and a team member. They mainly asked about my professional experience and explained the role. If I passed those phone calls, they flew me out for an in-person interview that lasted about 6-7 hours with different stakeholders.
- Do you have experience with specific projects in our pipeline?
- Can you describe your experience in relation to our current projects?
- Tell us about your practical experience.
