First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Carlisle Construction Materials.
Territory Manager
Had a good interview with the new director. I appreciated everything about the process and would suggest this company to other people interested in applying. The interviewer was kind, available for every question I had, and was very interested in my past experiences.
- Can you share details about your academic background?
Mechanical Engineering Intern
I applied online. Then I got an email to schedule a phone screening with a recruiter. They said I would get a call back, but I never heard back from them. The recruiter was really nice though, just didn't reach out.
- Do you have any hands-on experience?
- Could you elaborate on your resume experience?
Supply Chain Specialist
I had an initial phone chat with HR for the supply chain internship. After that, I was invited for an in-person interview at their office. The in-person part involved a panel of three people. They introduced themselves and their roles. Then, we went over my resume together and they asked me questions about it. Next, we tackled some problem-solving scenarios. These questions were about past situations with issues and how I handled them. The interview ended with me asking them questions. They called on Monday with an offer after I interviewed on Friday.
- Can you describe a situation, from school or work, where you dealt with a frustrated customer and how you managed to fix the issue?
Process Engineer
There were 2 interview rounds. The interviewers included the Plant Manager, Production Manager, Process Engineer, and HR Manager. To get extra credit, you should bring up how crucial workplace safety is. Also, make sure to mention how vital it is to keep company information confidential (anything about the plant needs to stay internal).
- Can you explain your understanding of standardization?
- What insights do you have about our plant?
- What are your thoughts on workplace safety and its importance?
