Sales Specialist
The interview process was unprofessional. My first phone interview was rescheduled four times. I went with the flow because I was very interested in the position. The interview went well; I had a lengthy phone conversation with a man from corporate. I’m perfectly qualified and have vast experience in a similar position. I was assured that I would hear back within two days for a second interview. I followed up with a thank you email. Two days passed and I never heard back. I followed up with another email and never got a response. Stop wasting people’s time! It is interesting that these companies are expecting so much of potential employees yet they lack common courtesy to applicants in return.

Resident Care Director
I started with a phone interview which went well. The hiring manager then scheduled me for a second phone interview with the director, which is usually the third interview, for later that same day. They also scheduled an in-person interview for 5 pm that same day. I thought this was a bit odd, but schedules can be tight around the holidays. I couldn't make the 5 pm in-person interview but managed to reschedule for 7 am the next morning. During the in-person interview, they had me take the Myers Briggs personality test, and we discussed my results. The interviews went well, and I received a job offer. I had applied for the Resident Care Director position for a new building, but they offered me a role in an established building instead. I later found out that they usually conduct a urine drug screen as part of the interview process.
- The hiring manager discussed my Myers Briggs results and how they relate to their expectations for the role.
- Participate in a urine drug screening.
- Tell me about your experience with conflict resolution and your ability to handle it.
Activity Director
I interviewed with three different people, two in person and one over the phone. Everyone was really friendly and supportive. There was an online personality test I had to complete. I did get an offer, but the salary wasn't enough to make it worthwhile. They didn't seem willing to negotiate salary or benefits, which was a bummer because I think I would have liked the job. It felt like it might be demotivating long-term if they weren't willing to pay more for someone qualified.
- Do you prefer to plan your day in advance, or are you more spontaneous?
Sales and Marketing Director
The process started with a call from the recruiter (HR) where I answered some questions. Then, a phone interview with the VP was scheduled. Following that, there was a 3-hour in-person interview with the ED and VP where they asked about my salary expectations. Next, I went to the site for another meeting with the ED to discuss the job and ask questions. The final step was a last-minute, late or very early meeting with the VP, ED, and President, which I managed to push to a later time. This was another 3-hour meeting, after which I received a written offer with 24 hours to accept or decline. Unfortunately, the salary and benefits weren't discussed beyond my initial requirement, and the base salary was lower than expected. I also inquired about mileage reimbursement, which was only $0.30/mile after the first 10 miles per trip, unlike the Federal Standard. I countered the base salary offer, and the VP, who seems like a controlling workaholic, was apparently offended. She then withdrew the offer, which is disappointing and immature. It makes me wonder about the company culture and how future issues would be handled. This experience seems to align with other negative reviews. It's concerning when a company can't have a professional discussion about compensation during the offer stage. I did research with industry contacts on LinkedIn and confirmed that both the salary and mileage reimbursement were below market rates. On a side note, the company recently sold assets and is planning to change its name.
