First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CarGurus.
Recruiting Coordinator
The interview was 1.5 hours, broken into three 30-minute meetings with the TA Operations manager, a recruiting manager, and a coordinator. Standard questions were asked for this position. Everyone was easy to talk to and friendly. I sent a thank you note to the recruiter afterwards, asking to forward it to the interviewers, but I never got any confirmation or follow-up feedback. It felt like a waste of 1.5 hours to not even get a response saying they're moving forward with someone else.
- Can you share some of your accomplishments?
- What are your career goals?
Recruiter
I'm very pleased with the interviewing process at CarGurus. Everyone that I met with was very excitable, personable, professional and genuinely interested in my background and career path. The team was extremely responsive during the entire interviewing process and it moved along quickly. They actually listened to what I looking for and were honest with me along the way. Great experience overall.
- What are your sourcing tactics and which have been most successful?
Recruiting Coordinator
The hiring process involved three interviews: it kicked off with a phone screen, then a 45-minute chat with the hiring manager, and wrapped up with a 1.5-hour session featuring three 30-minute interviews with team members. I liked the overall process, but I felt I had to keep asking for updates on my application status. The whole thing took about two months before I was told they had selected another candidate.
- Tell me about how you would manage different coordination scenarios.
