Co-Op Student
We pick resumes from the College portal then call for an interview. We prefer freshers with strong concept/knowledge/skills and pick the best candidates. We prefer in-person jobs. We ask questions based on the resume, want details about your work or college projects, want to know how strong your concept is on your domain, and want good answers for behavioral questions.
- Can you provide details about your work or college projects?
- How strong is your conceptual understanding in your domain?
- Can you provide good answers to behavioral questions?
Intern
I first learned about Carfax at a campus career fair where I chatted with two employees. Although there were no intern positions listed, they kindly took my resume. About a week later, they reached out about an interview. I had a quick phone interview the following week, then an on-site with a panel of developers who asked some pretty basic technical questions. After that, I did a skills test with a quiet but nice developer, completing the 'intern test.' Everyone was really friendly and open to chatting. A few days later, I got an offer and accepted it.
- Could you explain what an ERD is?
- What are the benefits of Object-Oriented Programming?
Intern
The screening test had two coding questions to check problem-solving and coding skills. It covered different topics in a supportive way, and interviewers helped with clarification. The MCQ part tested computer science knowledge, mainly data structures. The online interview asked basic questions about strengths, work preferences, and fitting into the company culture.
- Can you share an instance where you successfully solved a problem?
- Could you discuss your strengths, what kind of work you prefer, and how you might fit with our company culture?
