The interview process took seven weeks. It started with a recruiter screen, followed by an interview with the hiring manager. Then, another recruiter contacted me and scheduled four more interviews within the same week. Juggling these interviews around my current job was challenging. I believe they conducted multiple interviews to get a more personal feel for candidates, which is understandable but difficult if you're currently employed. All interviews went well, and I was told the original recruiter would be in touch. After a long wait, especially over the holidays, I emailed the recruiter with no response. A couple of weeks later, I messaged again demanding an answer. That same day, I received an automated rejection email. It's disappointing that after investing over four hours in interviews, a proper response wasn't provided by any of the five people I spoke with. This experience makes me feel like I dodged a bullet, given the lack of respect shown.

Applied online via Jobinvite and used the portal to track my application status. About 10 days later, HR reached out via email to schedule an interview for the following week. The first step was a call with HR to discuss my application, after which she mentioned she'd email me about the next steps. Subsequently, I received an email to set up a video web interview with the manager responsible for the territory I was interested in. Following that call, I had another phone interview with a senior associate in the same territory. The final stage involved traveling to Virginia with other qualified candidates for an in-person panel interview. About a week after the panel, I received an email with a job offer.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process at Carfax was a good experience overall, even though I didn't get the job. The recruiter, Mary, was really nice and genuine. She kept me updated on the process, letting me know when to expect news, and was available to answer any questions. The interviews included an initial pre-screen with the hiring manager, followed by Zoom interviews a few weeks later with three Directors from the Dealer Business Unit. These directors were also genuine and talked about the job and company, not just asked me questions. I'm still interested in Carfax because I'd love to work there.
