Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CARET.
Software Engineer
Applied and got a screening interview with the recruiter, which I passed. Then I had an interview with the manager, and passed that one too. The third interview was with the dev team. After that, I didn't hear back for a few days. The recruiter told me I was a top candidate but the VP needed to do a final interview, but he was going to be out for a week. I followed up a week and a half later via email and got no response. I followed up again another week later, still no response. It's fine if I didn't get the job, but a rejection email would have been professional instead of just ghosting me.

Senior Software Engineer
The interview process involved a series of questions to get to know me better. It started with some general questions about myself and my interest in the role and the company. Then it moved on to my background and experience.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- How did you find out about this job opening?
- What makes you want to join our company?
Software Developer
I applied for a software developer role back in September 2020. About two weeks later, I had a call with HR. Following that, there was another video interview with the hiring team, and then a technical challenge. The whole thing stretched out for over a month. Since then, I haven't heard anything back about whether I got the job. I've followed up with HR three times. Twice, she just said the hiring team was super busy, which I thought was a really weak excuse for not getting back to candidates. They really seem to waste people's time. It feels like they don't care about the people applying to this organization, which is really unprofessional. I'd tell anyone looking for a job here, at any level, to probably skip it because it's a massive letdown. Even if you do get an offer, this kind of unprofessionalism suggests that working there would probably be even more of a mess. Wishing the best to anyone who does start there.
