First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CareMetx.
Information Security Governance and Assurance Analyst
It was a three-interview process, all one-on-one. First, I spoke with the director, then a colleague, and finally, another person I'd be working with regularly. It was pretty conversational, with questions about the role and also about my personality.
- How are you a good fit for CareMetx?
Software Engineer
The first round was a 30 minute chat about my experiences and learning about the company. I didn't get to ask any questions. The second round was a 1 hour interview with an architect. They asked me to design a single elevator that goes to the correct floor and then iterate on that to move the solution to the cloud. The feedback was basically that this is actually an architect role, not a senior Engineer role. The recruiter mentioned they are a new client and have been trying to hire for months. It seems like they don't know the role they're trying to fill. There are 3 more rounds: a technical interview, a culture fit interview, and a final interview to confirm interest.
- Design an elevator that goes to the correct floor when a button is pressed internally or at the floor level.
- Next step is there are two elevators, how do you change your previous design that handles where to send the elevators.
- Next, how would you change this if there are 100 elevators.
Reimbursement Case Manager
Had a phone screen that went great, then got invited for a video chat with the hiring manager. The video chat was basically a standard Q&A, not really conversational like I prefer. It seemed to really dig into just one part of the job description. I sent a thank you email afterward, but never heard anything back. I'd seen a review beforehand about candidates getting 'ghosted,' but honestly didn't think companies actually did that, but apparently they do. I tried to follow up to get an update, but it became pretty clear I wasn't selected since they ghosted my follow-up email.
- Do you have any experience with Buy and Bill?
- Can you explain what Medicare A, B, C, and D are?
Adherence Navigator
I had a terrible interview experience, probably the worst in my 5 years as a nurse. I went through three rounds of interviews, and then nobody got back to me, despite multiple emails, voicemails, and calls to check on my application status. I guess the recruiters and HR team showed me that this company doesn't value candidates' time or energy. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. After three interviews, they told me on the day of the final interview that I'd hear back about starting training the next week, but then they ghosted me. A week later, I got an email saying I wasn't selected. It felt like such a waste of time and effort, especially since I waited 20 minutes for the interviewer during the third interview, and nobody said anything until I contacted HR. It was really inconsiderate and unprofessional. I'll find a place that values my talent and skills. Seriously, RUN and don't apply here, look for a job somewhere else! This whole thing happened for a REMOTE role, so even if they had offered me the job after all this, I would have declined immediately. It really shows how they value people.
- Can you tell me why you are interested in working for this company?
