HR (Pooja & Kalpana) told me there would be 2 technical rounds and 1 manager round. I did great on the first technical round, and HR said so. I took the second round, but then HR told me the role was put on hold, so I had to reject. They then referred me to another project and said I could go straight to the second round with Jejesh. Before we started, I mentioned I only had about 6 months to 1 year of experience with IMS DB, which I knew Legato used. Jejesh said that was fine if I knew DB2, which I did. After about 50 minutes, he said he was happy with my answers and would let HR know. I called HR back, and surprisingly, they said I was rejected due to insufficient IMS DB knowledge. I'm shocked! I was upfront about my experience, so why interview me for an hour? It feels like a waste of my time, or maybe they had no work. I expected better from HR and interviewers at a company like Legato, but they don't seem to communicate properly about what they need or who they're interviewing for. It's just sad. I even missed another company's interview to attend this one.

Technical Behavioral

I went through a 3-round interview process that lasted 5 hours on a weekday. The first round was a technical one focusing on the required technologies. The second round was a client-facing meeting with their US managers. The third round was with HR. Unfortunately, I didn't pass the second round with the manager. Honestly, I wasn't very excited about the interviews because I got a sense of the work culture. While waiting for my second round, I overheard a manager asking their team to change their shift timings for better overlap with onshore teams. Then, another lead announced that this change was mandatory starting the next day. I personally don't think I could adapt to that kind of work environment.

It was an easy and balanced process, with step-by-step support from HR. They provided on-call support for all queries and guidance on the overall onboarding process. Interaction and follow-up with the reporting manager was an additional plus. I got an overview of the project.
