First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CareerWise.
Senior Manager
It was a messy phone screen with HR, even though I'd worked there before and they seemed to have missed it on my resume. Then there were two panel interviews. I got ghosted after the last panel interview. I later found out they hired someone way over-qualified and made up a higher title for them.
- How does this role fit into your career trajectory?
Partnerships Manager
The process kicked off with a 30-minute Zoom call where I was asked 3 questions. These questions covered what I've learned from working with C-Suite leaders, my own approach and experience with DEI, and my professional background.
- What does DEI mean to you and can you give an example of how you've incorporated it into your work?
VP of HR
I went through the initial HR interview, which was about 30 minutes and pretty broad, kind of a casual 'getting to know you' vibe. Then I had a small group interview that lasted about an hour. Both were virtual, with people from both NYC and Colorado. I was hoping to move on to meet more staff, but unfortunately, I didn't make it to the next round.
- Can you share your experience with DEIB?
- How have you approached fostering employee engagement?
- Describe your experience with change management.
Customer Success Manager
The whole process was really quick and they were super respectful of my time. I first talked to the hiring manager over the phone to see if it was a good fit and then we set up another video call right away. After that, I had a video call with the hiring manager and another employee, and then a call with two employees and an apprentice graduate. It's clear the team loves what they do and they were happy to answer all my questions honestly and thoughtfully.
- Can you share your experience with diversity and inclusion initiatives?
- Please tell us about your background and experience.
- What made you interested in this particular role?
